Yes or no to animal testing?
One of the biggest debates in the world is animal testing. Animal testing is the usage of harmless animals to experiment. Some experiments are nonviolent and simply for humans to learn about animal behaviors, but some experiments are used to test products before releasing them for human usage. The outcomes of this usually occcur in the painful and slow death of animals such as rats, rabbits, chimps, cats, dogs, and many more. The YouTube video from the organization PETA, or the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, released shows the effects of animal testing. Warning: The video is VERY, VERY graphic, but the least graphic one I could find.
As you can probably judge from this video, the cruel workings of the site are horrifying. In this generation, we are so advanced. There is no reason for as technologically enlarged as a collection of countries to not invent another method of experimentation. Before animals, humans were used, but that time has now passed. We can pass this dark method of testing products. But first, people must accept the fact that it is wrong. Once this is recognized, work can be done to help stop these cruel acts.
There is a small understanding of how some people would think animal experimentation is right and these are reasons why. Firstly, humans are above animals, and we need health products in which to live. Many different ingrediants are put into these health products and some do not mix well. Yet, how are scientists supposed to predict these reactions on humans without harming them. That is why they turned to animals. But using results from animals are inaccurate seeing as though animals are not humans. Secondly, as humans, we would not be as medically advanced as we are today, if it were not for animal experimentation.
